I first met Rebecca at FleurEx in 2024. She knew her business needed to embrace digital tools, but (she won’t mind me saying) she was a little nervous – technology wasn’t exactly her comfort zone. It took her some time to decide, and she even asked if she could speak directly to one of our current customers — something we’re always more than happy to arrange.
Fast forward almost a year, and Rebecca is absolutely flying. She’s now sending out stunning, professional proposals to potential clients — beautifully presented with all the information set out clearly. When we caught up last week, she told me just how much she loves using Strelitzia Wedding & Events. That’s when I asked if she’d be happy to answer a few questions to help other florists who might be sitting on the fence about taking the leap and using our software.
What made you choose Strelitzia for managing your weddings and events?
We had been looking for a software programme to use for a while when we were introduced to Strelizia at the BFA event last year. I am someone who is not technical and can really struggle with IT systems. As a family business they completely understood my concerns and we very comfortable dealing with someone who was going to need quite a bit of support and I felt they were definitely the right fit for our small family business which is continually growing and was in need of a system which both looked professional but was reasonably priced and offered us the back up support that I knew we would need.
Has it helped you book more weddings?
Without doubt the software has increased our sales performance. We are able to detail to our couples so much more information and it looks so professional and has been simple to set up with the continued help of the team at Strelizia who are always ready to help us and usually at short notice. As a team we are all able to access the system so everyone can be briefed efficiently and we find it easy to navigate. Mainly using currently for proposals but it does of course offer so much more and this is something we shall explore in time with their help.
How have you found the support and training from the Strelitzia team?
The training for the system has been incredible, Amy has taken her time to explain things in detail with lots of encouragement and reassurance along the way. As I said I am not that technically gifted and she has been a huge support for me along the way and I am now confident to create beautiful bespoke proposals for our couples confidently. However I know Amy is always just at the end of the phone if I have any issues.
What would you say to another florist thinking about using Strelitzia for their weddings and events?
I would certainly recommend the system to any florist who is looking for a more efficient, professional software system. It has really changed our way of working and freed up so much time for other aspects of the business.
Is there anything you wish you’d known before you started using it – or something you’d tell your past self?
I have spent so many evening sitting creating handwritten, sketches and down loading images to create for past proposals. I am so glad to have found this system which allows me to create beautiful documents for my couples to keep as a memory of their day.
